It was cold. So I took no photos with my camera… but here’s one from my phone!
I got to have Ariana as a climbing buddy for a couple months! :)
Kendra can belay too now! Look at this party!

It has been a cold Feb and being sick for the last few days haven’t help. I am ready for some green. Got this cute plant for ML instead of roses this year! I kept seeing photographers use fairly lights for cool photos and I decided to try it out to see if I can create some cool bokeh. Any thoughts on fairy light and bokehlicious photos?
A chilly but rewarding experience to watch Melissa race in the world cup this weekend!
Did you know: I got to chauffeur Melissa to the airport a few times last year before she went to the Olympics! This is my claim to fame. :)
Got a chance to be a seconder shooter for Preston for Jennifer and Grayson’s wedding. I love the way these two look at each other. I think this was my favorite from the wedding! Congrats on getting married!
Congratulations Grayson and Jenn :D
This was a blog tag team performance, thank you Canaan for helping second shoot and being the light for this shot :)
The best camera is the one that is most accessible. While on the plane back home, my phone was the most accessible camera I had. I was intrigued but the view and how the land is shaped by nature. How the earth cracks and branches out looks so cool. So here is a photo from my phone. LG G5.
Small things keep the whole thing working.
What a cold week. Keep at ‘er cause there are warmer days ahead.
This was a one of the those moment where the crowd disappeared and I was left with a fairly quiet and non-busy shot of a really cool place. I love all the windows and structural lines plus the cool reflection on the floor. Shot with my Sony rx100 mkIII.
The 2 minute photoshoot. Stay warm this weekend my friends!
A different take on window lighting.
They say aging brings character. Some days I still don’t believe the two digits associated with my age and what that is suppose to mean in my life. Sometimes I feel like finishing high school wasn’t so long ago. These thoughts are the inspiration for this photo.
I kept this apple around purely for this weeks idea. This apple remained uneaten and started to get wrinkly. I figured I would hide it so Meng-Ling wouldn’t accidentally throw it out so I can use it for this week’s photo. I used one flash and a small mirror to get this shot. Plus a card as a mini reflector. :)
For a behind the scene photo:
Since the first 52 photos, I have always enjoyed trying new things with a flash and trying to create a different look with light. It is definitely handy for the days where I need to create an idea indoors and don’t have a lot of daylight to play with.
Grateful for the unique and amazing people that have helped form who I am.
Appreciative of the variety of flavours that Avenida Food Hall shapes who I am…
I have been struggling to get my camera out since by the time I get home from work, it is pitch black out. I decided to go and learn some of the functions of my camera. Canon 5d mk iii has in body multiexposure mode. This way you can take two photos and layer them. I decided to play with a flash to get a silhouette and then use a background picture that is more colourful. I built the background use the side of a lego box. I have mixed feelings about how this turned out but I like how this allows you do cool images straight out of the camera without photoshop!
[1/52] Canadian Winter
We live in a beautiful country!
I’m excited to do another 52 photos blog with Canaan again. 52 photos is a photo a week, which challenges me to have my camera out more often, and to keep a little visual memory to be able to look back at!
I hope you enjoy looking into the little moments in my life and remember to take in all the little great things that happen in your life :)
Couple of years ago, Preston and I did a series of 52 photos. The idea was to shoot and post one photo each week. It was always fun to see the photos over the whole year and see how the style and editing and skills change throughout the year. We wanted to give it another try. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get the site set up in time for the new year. 2 weeks into 2019, we are going to start 52 photos.
